Dr. Ashok Jain, President of the Mombusho Scholars’ Association of India since 1986, was a MEXT scholar at Kyoto University (1963-66), and a diplomat Science Attaché, Indian Embassy, Tokyo (1974-78). He was actively involved with DST, Govt. of India; Commonwealth Science Council, London; and CSIR’s National Institute of Science Technology & Development Studies. He is currently in the Society and Development studies, University of Delhi, India. He is a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India and founding member of Forum for Global Knowledge Sharing.
