Him Lal Ghimire is an academic, tourism expert, and an education leader from Nepal. Presently, the Joint Secretary and founding member of the Japanese Studies Association in South Asia (JSASA). Ghimire holds two Postdoctoral degrees. His research focuses on tourism, Buddhist pilgrimage, culture and heritage tourism. He’s been a Visiting Fellow at the Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture, Nanzan University (Nagoya) and at the International Research Centre for Japanese Studies (Nichibunken), Kyoto. An author of two books and innumerable scholarly articles.
